Aprhodite Nature Trail
Aphrodite Natural Trail is a perfect way to get a taste of Akamas promontory that marks the westernmost point of the Cyprus island. It offers mountanious steep ascent in the maritime scenery, between waters of Mediteranean Sea. It also gives a taste of history and mythology with ruins and Aphrodite's Baths on the way.
Starting from the parking lot below Baths of Aphrodite Botanical Garden the way goes along the coast using 4x4 road and climbs up and down. Views are already pretty rewarding. At some point it turns left and changes into path. Here the steepnes rises as we ascent north slopes of Moutti Tis Sottiras. After about 250 meters we get to the the highest point of the trail. There's a bench with iconic view. To get to the top we need to leave the trail. Views from Moutti Tis Sottiras peak are pretty impressive taking into account its height.
On the way down to the Baths of Aphrodite we pass some ruins and very old tree. In January the path was muddy at times but other than that was pleasant to walk with lots of great views. Trail takes us directly to the Baths of Aphrodite. The entrance was free of charge.
Around 15 degrees with rather chilly wind at the top of Moutti Tis Sottiras.
Passable at all times, between Rigena Tower Ruins and Aphrodite's Baths the path was muddy at times with red clay.

Walked this trail with 4 year old kid so the trip is not really difficult, probably it can be finished in much shorter time.
