Tsambika beach viewpoint
Staying on the Tsambika beach for the whole day can make one craving for physical challenge. Luckily the terrain there offers an opportunity to fulfil this wish. There is a Panagia Tsambika monastery liying almost vertically above the northern end of the beach and looks really inviting.
Path starts at the beach opening, where road ends. First it meanders through typical mediteranean vegetation, then crossess grassy passages just to cut through the rocky threshold to the left and then through the forest to the base of the stairs. From now on it's a piece of cake with 100 meters of altitude and 304 steps (they are numbered).
There is a Panagia Tsambika monastery on the top and also quite spectacular views in all directions, with most interesting one in direction of the beach we've just left. Also the highest point of the Rhodes island - Attavyros peak can be observed in the western direction.
Return path goes exactly the same way.
Warm temperatures around 20 degrees, slight maritime wind.
Marked well with wooden boards, path is distinct with no navigational problems. Final 100 meters are concrete steps that take to the top (304 steps).
No info.
Starting point reached by car, there is no bus connection to the beach.

If you don't have enough time but still want to see the view there is an option to shorten the effort using the car and parking it at the foot of the staircase. These however will need to be climbed anyway.
There is some sort of the cave at the start of the path. Probably it is inhabited, while going down there was a rottweiler dog on the leash. Because the path goes directly in front of this cave I did not risk checking the leash length and dog's level of friendliness. This cave can be omitted by turning left on descent and going above it. It's a matter of couple more meters.
