Although being known for their wildness these mountains not longer seem so. On Montenegro side there are multiple tourist trails you can chose from and the marking is pretty good. Also the paths are frequented and therefore distinct and not that easy to lose. Just like in the Alps the red color is used to mark the trails, sometimes with white stripe inside, sometimes white dot inside and sometimes just single red stripes. Meeting other tourists is obviously more likely around highest peaks, for the medium and unknown there is a big chance to be completely alone. Still, the tourist infrastructure is just emerging and to get to some peaks a sizeable distance needs to be covered

There is a problem with water availability but that's a common issue related to limestone and dolomite formation mountains not only Accursed Mountains specific. For one day trips 3 litres would be sound amount to carry, for backpacking, thru hiking ones the stove or some filter is necessary to get either from lakes or snow.

Another thing to keep in mind while visiting these mountains is to take a better look whenever we step into grass. Nose-horned viper is native to this area and it’s bite can be really dangerous, according to Wikipedia its venom is strong enough to kill a human. Probably that's not always the case but even with smaller bites calling the rescue service will be impeded by lack of telephone signal. I don’t know what is the chance to meet this snake, but during my 7-day stay I spotted it on the first and was on alert for the rest. Turned out it was first and last time. So just be aware but don’t let that spoil your time.
